Longer days…warm evenings; the urge to be out in the world – yes, summer is upon us.
The opportunity to experience nature in all her glory is around you. Nature is a sacred space that has the power to draw us out of our small mind into the Big Mind of the Universe. So many are expressing distress with the energies that continue to shift and change so rapidly; each of us is being called to go more deeply within to find our connection and balance. During warm weather, praying or meditating outside in nature can enhance your wellbeing and spiritual practice. Although the temptation is to reach out around you to find comfort or solutions, the power is within.
I have discovered that the antidote to the energies speeding up is to become slower and focus within. Years ago, I listened to a talk given by Eckhart Tolle. He shared an experience in which he was meeting a friend at an appointed time, the friend arrived later than expected and immediately apologized for keeping Eckhart waiting, to which he replied “I was not waiting I was being”.
I knew there was significance here and yet could not grasp the concept fully, I found myself waiting often, and obviously the questioning stayed with me for a very long time. Earlier this week, a regular client had not arrived at the appointed time. In the past, I would have jumped into one more email or phone call to use my time “efficiently” while I was “waiting.” This time I began focusing on my breathing and dropped into the stillness, my awareness of sensations increased and I felt the pumping of my heart as it circulated the blood through my system. This was a powerful experience, being with what is, took on new meaning. My client arrived within minutes and my focus shifted to “being” with her. The miracles reside within the stillness waiting for you to embrace them.
True freedom comes through spirit, for where there is true freedom there is peace, and where there is peace, there is love; and it is love that unlocks all doors. Where there is love, there is no criticism, no condemnation and no judgment, for you begin to know deeply and understand that all is one. You see the very best in everyone and everything. Once a chick has emerged from its shell or a butterfly from it chrysalis there is no going back, only a continuous unfolding into the new. Let the action of unfolding be a day-by-day, hour-by-hour, and minute-by-minute process for you. Feel the excitement and expectancy in all that is taking place. There is never a dull moment in this life there is always something happening. Let it happen and never try to hold up progress, but go along with it all. Find the perfect rhythm in your life and give your best to it. Flow with it, not against it, and you will find peace of heart and mind.
